After The Ice

We were entered for the Jar music, Breakout festival, competition. We got to play two exclusive gigs, The first being at The Carling Bar Academy, Islington and the second being at the Carling Academy (main stage) Islington. We won on both nights and therefore went to the Maldives to actually perform in the JMG Breakout festival. It was a massive opportunity for us and we would personally like to thank everyone who came to the shows, and also everyone who voted and supported us, so thank you one and all.

Our journey in the Maldives was absolutely fantastic, not only because it was a lifetime opportunity for us, but also because it was a chance to see how a public, with completely different musical tastes, would take our music. Pictures of our performance can be found on our Facebook fan page, our MySpace page and of course our website www.aftertheice.com. Also videos of our final performance will be uploaded to our website and our Myspace page, but, if you can’t wait that long the Videos of the performance can be seen on YouTube, uploaded by a fan (althuogh the sound quality is not very good).

As a result of the Maldivian experience we have now been played on MTV Asia and MTV Spain, the beginning of something great we’re sure. We have been told we will pass again on MTV Spain so we will keep you all updated about that.

Finally, and probably our most exciting piece of news, we have now been passed on 13 radio stations all across the U.S.A thanks, in whole, to the competition, Fame Games, which was setup in order to find the freshest talent that could be found.
